It is our mission to encourage people to seek their own truth regarding spirituality. This is important because only by seeking our own 'truth' can we fully begin to make the most of our current human experience.
It makes no sense to base our spiritual and moral belief system on one that we have inherited from our parents through parental coercion (albeit with the best intentions), or which is foisted onto us through peer pressure, or simply as a result of our region of birth.
Often such belief systems are based on the teachings of a single ancient text, and even these have often been updated or revised over time, perhaps at the whim of some religious or political leader in order to alter or remove 'inconvenient' sections.
It is easy to see how such organised religion was useful to the rich and powerful historically as a means of controlling the masses through fear, and indeed most in society happily followed religious doctrine as it gave them some comfort and guidance. Many of these people could not read, they couldn't visit a library to research various religious ideologies or to seek spiritual guidance, and they certainly could not 'Google it', so they had no option but content themselves with listening to the religious preaching of whichever faith happened to be dominant in their area.
We however surely owe it to ourselves in these more enlightened times, with access to such wonderful research sources, to seek a 'truth' regarding spirituality that we can call our own and which brings us peace. Why should we allow anyone to control us through the fears that their particular belief system encourages?
Some people are born into lives of privilege, comfort and plenty. Others are less fortunate, perhaps being born in a war zone or a famine stricken region, or suffering some illness/disability through no apparent fault of their own. Why does this inequality exist, why are some dealt such poor hands in life while others live in luxury? Could it be attributable to Karma for past actions? Could it be under the direction of some divine entity? Or could it just be plain bad luck?
WHY IS FINDING OUR OWN TRUTH IMPORTANT?
I strongly believe that we are eternal spirit beings and that we live as humans through several lifetimes in order to learn lessons and advance spiritually. By being open to such lessons and looking out for opportunities to grow spiritually we may be able to reduce the number of lifetimes required in order to reach spiritual fulfilment. It is seminal to our spiritual progression during our current lives that we seek to find our purpose during this lifetime and work towards fulfilling it; in this way we might save ourselves having to learn such lessons in a harsher manner later on.
As a bonus: If we each lived good lives, caring about other people, creatures and the planet then regardless of the truth about Karma and re-incarnation the world would automatically become a better place for all!
A LIFE EXAMPLE TO CONSIDER
Imagine that you are incredibly wealthy, and that you do everything you can to add to your fortune. You pay staff at your many businesses minimum wage and avoid paying taxes where possible (although you don't actually need the additional money).
Probably you are aware that if you did actually pay your fair share it would put more into the pot and enable help for those in desperate need; but you simply don't care.
You hear about poverty, hospital waiting lists, people pulling their own teeth out for lack of a dentist, while others commit suicide because they cannot feed their children, and yet you still prefer not to contribute fairly; because you are selfish and motivated only by greed to inflate your bank balance regardless.
Now imagine that you come close to the end of your days.
Sure, you consider yourself to be a respectable member of the community, you've been to church every now and then; when it didn't clash with golf or a meal in a fancy restaurant.
You've been generous to your family; Jemima was delighted with the Bentley Coupe you bought for her thirtieth birthday to mention just one of your many extravagant gifts. You've also on occasion put a tenner into a collecting pot for some charity, but have never really thought about charitable giving in any meaningful way.
You think you'll be alright though; considering yourself worthy of an upwards journey rather than a downwards one, if you know what I mean.
But what if there is no Heaven and Hell? What if judgement requires that you fully revisit all of the good and selfish deeds you have done during your lifetime? What if on balance you begin to ponder whether you have actually been the respectable citizen that you considered yourself?
Might you have lessons to learn? How to share perhaps? How to have consideration for other people's needs? How to love your fellow humans? Might you have to learn these lessons the hard way through a tough new incarnation?

Surely it is better to have lived a balanced life where you took only what you needed to secure a moderately comfortable life for yourself and your family, while being mindful of the needs of others. If you lived as a kind and caring spirit perhaps the journey towards transition and the afterlife might hold fewer regrets and trepidation. The only thing that you can take with you on your spiritual journey is your true spiritual self; this will be all the richer if you have led your present life in a spiritual, benevolent, caring and loving way.
Or could it be that there is no afterlife, maybe all there is to look forwards to is an eternity of nothingness. In this case were you right to just make the most of this one life and greedily grab all you could of the planet's bounty?
Let's discuss!
'You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending'
